It is September and I have not used the observatory for awhile. I had a stroke last fall and the observatory has not been working either.
Below is a picture of M15 in Pegasus. Pegasus is the winged horse created by the Greek hero/myth Perseus after he slayed the monster Medusa.
M15, in the center of the picture, is a globular cluster. The cluster has over 100,000 stars, is about 36,000 light years away in the Milky Way, and is around 13 billion years old – more impressive than myth.
The photo was taken with a modified Canon Rebel on a TEC 140 telescope in the observatory. There was about a 50% moon up.

ok, so, I don’t think you can disappear for this long, then come back with a one-liner like, “Oh, I had a stroke last year,” and go on to show us pretty pictures without filling us in on that one line! We care about you! I suppose I thought you’d just been sporting about Italy or something! What’s up!?

Thank you Terri, And Yes, please Mark. I just had my second surgery on my deteriorating neck, my best friend’s husband suddenly passed, one of my best long-time friends just wrote to say, “cancer,” and for godsake, the queen died. I’m having trouble saying, ahem, King. We need to stick together!!
